I have worked in different industries both big companies and much smaller businesses and I identified that there is a need, especially for small businesses to invest in a digital footprint. Many small businesses don't realise the importance of digital platforms when it comes to marketing and those who do, do not utilise it to get optimal results. I have always enjoyed creating, designing and critical thinking then realised that it fits well with marketing which led me here.
In 2020 I decided to explore the field of marketing further after brainstorming ways to incorporate what is termed behaviour economics into topics that interest me. I signed up for an Advanced Digital Marketing course and completed the course in June 2022. Now my mission is to add value, give insight and help businesses do better digitally and professionally.
This led to the creation and concept of "The Digital Colab". The Digital Colab will be used to explore the field of digital marketing specifically for small businesses in combination with subjects and topics that help to educate and create the perfect digital formula. Marketing nowadays is extremely digital in form and function. Gone are the days when you can only rely on traditional forms of marketing to speak to prospective customers. Today, small businesses need a more radical approach. They need digital marketing to survive in this day and age.
Behaviour Economics
Behaviour economics, is exactly what it says, the currency and value of behaviour. Having insight into why people behave the way they do and make certain decisions can help people and businesses better understand, prepare and adapt to ensure positive actions, behaviours and outcomes.
Customer Experience
Being professional and customer centric is important when it comes to doing business. Exceeding customers expectations should be a top priority for any business. A customers experience of your business can determine your business's future. It is imperative that businesses invest in processes, principles and proper training to deliver exceptional services and products.
Design & Branding
Design might seem simple but making things look good, user-friendly, and functional can be complicated. The way something is designed holds weight, has impact and can be the building block towards building brand trust. Branding and Design go hand in hand, good branding is the result of great design.
